muss man in den Untergrund hinabsteigen, um die Welt in ihrer Vielfalt zu begreifen. So wie am U-Bahnhof \u201eMoosacher St.-Martins-Platz\u201c: Dessen W\u00e4nde bieten ein Foto-Mosaik dar, das eine F\u00fclle von Eindr\u00fccken zur detailreichen Gesamtansicht des Viertels zusammensetzt. Masayuki Akiyoshi schuf f\u00fcr die Station anhand von 76.160 Fragmenten aus der Oberwelt eine f\u00fcnf Meter hohe und 117 bzw. 135 Meter lange digitale Raum-Installation, die er \u201eForst\u201c nennt, nicht zuletzt weil er unter der Erde einen \u201eWald aus Bildern\u201c wachsen lie\u00df. Und so wie das Moos Urgrund und N\u00e4hrboden f\u00fcr den Wald ist, so schimmert das Gr\u00fcn aus Moosachs G\u00e4rten wie ein Urgrund des Foto-Gem\u00e4ldes an vielen Stellen durch.<\/p>\n<p>Akiyoshis 11 x 15 cm gro\u00dfe Lichtbilder sind f\u00fcr ihn \u201eWurzelst\u00fcckchen der \u00dcber-Tage-Welt\u201c. Man entdeckt rote Kaugummiautomaten und blaue Tonnen, gelbe Schilder und gr\u00fcne Garagentore \u2013 und unz\u00e4hlige Blumen ebenso wie die beiden Martinskirchen oder reiche Ziergiebel alter H\u00e4user. W\u00e4hrend f\u00fcr den Betrachter aus dem U-Bahnfenster in der Nahsicht das Einzelmotiv erkennbar ist, dominiert f\u00fcr den Wartenden auf dem Bahnsteig das gro\u00dfe Ganze. Akiyoshis Thema ist die Darstellung von R\u00e4umen \u2013 mal mit, mal ohne \u201eLebensspuren\u201c. In seiner Kunst bringt er das Dreidimensionale in die Fl\u00e4che. Wie auch in \u201eForst\u201c. Dieser bildet zudem \u00f6rtlich und zeitlich eine Einheit: Es zeigt Moosach im Zyklus der Jahreszeiten. Der K\u00fcnstler spazierte ein Jahr lang jede Woche mehrmals mit der Kamera durch die Stra\u00dfen. Die Anordnung der Bilder entspricht der Reihenfolge seiner Aufnahmen. Man kann also im Uhrzeigersinn dem Wandel von Sommer, Herbst, Winter und Fr\u00fchling folgen und in der Vertikalen nahezu den Weg des K\u00fcnstlers nachvollziehen. So weitet sich die Wartezeit auf den n\u00e4chsten Zug zur Zeitreise \u2013 und macht Lust auf den echten Stadtrundgang.<\/p>\n","werk_txt_long_en":"<p>Sometimes you have to go down into the underground in order to understand the world in all of its diversity. Take the Moosacher-St. Martins Platz subway station: its walls feature a photo-mosaic that assembles a wealth of impressions into a detailed, overall view of the district. Masayuki Akiyoshi used 76,160 fragments from the surface world to create a digital installation for the station consisting of two parts, one five meters high and 117 meters long; the other five meters by 135 meters. He calls it Forest, not least because he grew a \u201cforest of pictures\u201d below ground. And just as moss is both the primordial basis and the breeding ground for a forest, the green from Moosach\u2019s gardens shines through in many places, as if it were the ground for the photo-painting.<\/p>\n<p>Akiyoshi\u2019s 11-x-15-cm photographs are what he calls \u201cbits of roots from the above-ground world.\u201d You discover red gumball machines and blue garbage bins, yellow signs and green garage doors, along with countless flowers, the two churches of St. Martin[AM1]\u00a0, and the richly ornamented gables of old buildings. While those looking out of the subway train window can recognize individual motifs close-up, people waiting on the platform mainly perceive the work as a whole. Akiyoshi\u2019s theme is the depiction of spaces, sometimes with \u201ctraces of life,\u201d at other times without. In his art he brings the three-dimensional to the flat surface, as he does in Forest, which also forms a unit in terms of time and place, as it depicts Moosach throughout the changing seasons. For a year, the artist walked the streets once a week with his camera. The arrangement of the pictures corresponds to the order in which they were shot. Hence, the changes from summer and fall to winter and spring can be followed in a clockwise direction, while the artist\u2019s path can almost be traced in the vertical direction. In this way the time spent waiting for the next train expands into a journey through time\u2014and makes you want to take a real tour of the
